By this time, Modern Humans have replaced Neanderthals and cave paintings were becoming present. Large animals played a huge part in caved paintings especially in the Lascaux caves.
1940, Lascaux, France.
18 year old, Marcel Ravidat, discovers the entrance to the cave and the paintings are exposed to the world. The paintings soon fade due to the exposure and ways to preserve the caves and their paintings are found.
This is the earliest we can see the concept of graphic design being used. The drawings are communicating a range of messages and stories, which can now be interpreted as forms of worship, warnings, and even instructions.
